Gotto, Verdicchio Marche IGT (1L) ~ 2022

This Verdicchio is a white Italian wine grape variety grown in the Marche region of central Italy. The name Verdicchio derives from verde (or “green”) and refers to the slight green/yellow hue that wines made from the grape can have.

Grapes: 95% Nerello Mascalese, 5% Nerello Cappuccio – ABV 13%
Tasting notes: Dark ruby red. With a nose of prune, cherry, thyme, and violet. Dry and fresh, mild tannins and long lingering.

Pairing: Grilled/roasted meat, medium-aged cheese.

Grapes: 100% Sangiovese. – ABV 14.5%
Tasting notes: Deep color, intense ruby red. Aromas of cherries and Marasca cherries with elegant balsamic and spicy notes. Full and enveloping flavor, with the charming elegance on the palate that is typical of “thoroughbred” Sangiovese.

Pairing: Mature cheese, red meat, game meat.
