Notre Dame des Pallières Sablet Blanc “Montmartel” ~ 2019
Notre Dame des Pallières is a very old family estate whose name comes from the middleage and more specifically from the miraculous water source located at the edge of our estate. The vineyard covers thirty hectares and produces respected, famous appellations concerning nature: Gigondas, Rasteau, Sablet, Lirac & Côtes du Rhône. Our vines find a strong anchor in a quaternary river alluvial soil under the Trignon valley’s favorable microclimate due to exceptional sunshine. The half-buried old cave permits us to use gravity to slowly manipulate our wines and grow them thanks to the freshness of our basement.
Appellation: Rhône Valley, France
Grapes: Roussane 50% – Viogner 25% – Clairette 15% – Marsanne 10% – ABV 11.4%
Tasting notes: A beautiful, brilliant pale yellow color, intense on the nose with pear, fresh pineapple and grilled almonds notes with a hint of vanilla. Beautiful balance on the palate with a lot of freshness, richness, large and intense white fruits notes.
Pairing: Aperitif, fish, and cheese
Producer: Notre Dame des Pallières
1752 Gran Tradición Petit Manseng-Viognier ~ 2023
This white wine was developed during an R&D program with the aim of “Increasing yeast biodiversity in wine fermentation to increase flavor complexity”. Exceptionally concentrated Petit Manseng and Viognier grapes from the Melilla estate, with maritime influence from the Río de la Plata and clay soils with calcareous influence. It is vinified in our cellar by gravity in Cerro Chapeu and fermented in new French oak barrels for 6 months. It is then bottled with minimal handling to preserve its fresh and complex aromas.
Appellation: Cuchilla de Santana, Uruguay
Grapes: Petit Manseng, Viognier – ABV 11%
Producer: Bodega Cerro Chapeu
