Colognole “Sinopoe” Chianti ~ 2022

Sinopie is the newest undertaking of the highly regarded estate, Colognole, from Chianti Rufina growing region of Tuscany. The Colognole estate is run by two brothers, Mario and Cesare Coda Nunzinate, who have a passion for Chianti Rufina and have built a name for themselves in this small appellation just northwest of Chianti Classico.
Sinopie refers to the guidelines that artists drew on the walls in preparation to paint large frescoes. Our own guidelines for making Sinopie Chianti are the crispness of its fruit, the vibrancy of acidity and its genius for pairing with foods. Such is the Sangiovese in the style of Classic Chianti.
Appellation: Chianti Rufina, Italy (DOCG)
Grapes: Sangiovese 93%, Merlot 7% – ABV 14%
Tasting notes: Exhibits bright cherry and raspberry fruit aromas with a hint of dried herbs. The palate is light to medium bodied with fresh cherries and a salty black licorice finish.
Pairings: Enjoy it with pizzas, pastas and antipasti.
Producer: Colognole
