Weinhaus Hauck

Weinhaus Hauck is a true multi-generational family affair rooted in the historic wine village of Bermersheim vor der Höhe in Rheinhessen, with winemaking origins dating back to 1727. In 2000, the family made the bold move to pivot from mixed farming to focus entirely on viticulture, and today they passionately tend to roughly 140,000 vines across 28 hectares of limestone, clay, and loam-loess soils. It is an all-hands-on-deck operation—led by enologist Heinz Günter and his daughter Jana, who joined the business after earning a PhD in family business research—where every member brings a unique fanaticism for crafting expressive, balanced white and red wines that carry the family’s distinct fingerprint.

Riesling “Alte Reben” ~ 2024

Aged in stainless steel tanks and in the bottle for at least two months. A small portion is aged in small acacia barrels to impart subtle sweet and spicy notes. A high-quality, elegant, and well-structured wine that is also well-suited for bottle aging.

Appellation: Rheinhessen, Germany
Grapes: 100% Riesling – ABV 13%
Tasting notes: A highly aromatic and inviting bouquet featuring bright notes of apple, apricot, and crisp lemongrass, layered with subtle orange blossoms and floral undertones. Jjuicy and athletic with a powerful, mineral-driven structure. It strikes an elegant balance between vibrant stone fruit flavors (peach, nectarine), fresh lime juice, and a finely integrated, natural residual sweetness.
Pairing: pairs beautifully with Spicy Cuisine: Excellent alongside aromatic and zesty Thai dishes. Perfect for steamed vegetables, delicate white fish, or light poultry dishes. Complements hearty, local German regional dishes or a simple evening spread with mild cheeses.

Blanc de Noir ~ 2024

Appellation: Rheinhessen, Germany
Grapes: 100% Spätburgunder (Pinot Noir) – ABV 12%
Tasting notes: Delightfully fresh and fruit-forward, opening up with delicate notes of crisp yellow apple alongside red berry fruits like wild strawberry and raspberry. Animating, clean, and beautifully dry. The Pinot Noir base provides a subtle, smooth creaminess on the mid-palate, which is nicely lifted by a mild, beautifully integrated acidity that keeps the wine incredibly refreshed and light.
Pairing: Excellent with refreshing green summer salads, light finger foods, or a classic melon and prosciutto platter. Complements delicate seafood dishes, grilled shrimp stir-fries, or pasta tossed with light olive oil and fresh garden herbs. Pairs effortlessly with mild, soft cheeses.

It features a remarkably mild, well-integrated acidity and carries a lingering presence without ever feeling heavy.
