Alovini Sterparo
In the late 1980s, Salento winemaker Oronzo Alò moved to Basilicata to collaborate with leading wineries. His new home is on the slopes of the majestic Vulture volcanic mountain range, a breathtaking panorama where olive trees, chestnut trees, and vineyards surround the picturesque Monticchio lakes. It is in this highly vocational winemaking region, and after years of experience and technical expertise acquired among these vineyards, that Oronzo decided to find his winery and produce high-quality wines. Family-owned wine producer Sterparo is in a small village in Southern Italy and draws upon its regional roots to create first-rate, versatile wines. Today, they not only produce excellent wine, but also contribute, through the work carried out in these territories, to enriching the social and economic value of activities promoting rural heritage, hospitality, and accommodation.
