Sirio, Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo ~ 2024

San Lorenzo Vini story began over 120 years ago when Francesco d’ Amico in 1890 (the great-great-grandfather of the current 5th generation of winemakers) bought the first two hectares of land in the medieval town of Castilenti to celebrate the birth of his first son Giuseppe d’ Amico. Nowadays, San Lorenzo Vini is the largest family-run winery in the Province of Teramo. The estate comprises a property that extends over an area of 220 hectares in a single large plot that stretches over the crests of three hills. The ideal combination of microclimate and soil composition allows the production of wines with unique characteristics: whites tend to be very fresh, with floral or citrus scents, and mineral notes. Our reds are elegant and velvety tannins, with scents of ripe red fruit and herbal or floral notes. The rosés are crispy with notes of red fruit.
